Built in the nineteen century, this romantic manor house was recently restored preserving the finest lines of the original project, and then converted into “Turismo de Habitação” to well-come guests. The owners Maria do Mar and Filipe Mouta Liz did an excellent work to maintain the character and the detail of the original architecture, the gardens style and the environmental areas. The intervention preserves the essence of history character while providing the comfort and excellent conditions for a pleasant stay.
Placed just 100 meters from the “Centro de Arte Moderna” (Centre of Modern Art) and “Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval” (Olga Cadaval Cultural Center), in the heart of Sintra – UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992 – known for its extensive green spaces and impressive historic monuments, Villa das Rosas, has a perfect location to discover the secrets of Lisbon and Tejo Region.
From Lisbon: Follow the motorway A16 in direction to “Sintra”. Leave the motorway in direction to “Sintra/Colares” and follow the signs to “Sintra”. On the second roundabout follow the sign to “Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval” (2nd exit) and after 150 meters turn right to the street “Av. José Morais Sarmento” (1st street on the right), continue for 300 meters and after a curve tto the left you will find the gates of Villa das Rosas.
Fom the “Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval”: Follow the sign to “Casa de Teatro de Sintra” trough the street “Rua Veiga da Cunha”, and after 150 meters turn left to the street “Rua António Cunha”. You will find Villa das Rosas after 150 meters at your left hand side.GPS Coordinates:
