Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean . The country also includes the Island of Youth and some 1500 cays and islets.
Cuba has earned an enviable reputation for the unequalled beauty of its broad sandy beaches and delicious warm sea water and the congenial cheerfulness of its people.
Many hotels have been built to accommodate an ever increasing number of visitors avid to experience Cuba’s heavenly beaches.
But there is much more to the country than sun and sea . It boasts striking scenery, splendid ecological diversity, historical sites and monuments, charming villages, and a rich culture expressed in the arts, music and traditions.
Havana with its Spanish colonial architecture, museums and old palaces, some under restoration, a busy night life with shows, cabarets and night clubs; Santiago de Cuba with a strong Caribbean flavor; Trinidad, a picturesque colonial town that has not changed for many years.
There are mountains, tropical forests, national parks, river springs. Bird watching, ecotourism and water sports are readily available.
