Constructed in 1652, Casa do Barreiro has captured a certain timeless elegance in its beautiful central courtyard. Overlooking this courtyard are some of the guest rooms located in converted stables. Towards the front of the house, one may admire the spectacular view of the Lima valley.

How to get there:
From Porto Airport: Take the motorway A3 to Braga/Valença. At the 76km leave the motorway in the exit signposted Ponte da Barca/Ponte de Lima. After paying the toll, turn left in direction to Ponte da Barca. Follow this road for approx 5 km until you arrive at the small village of Gemieira, and the house is located on the right hand side. You will see a yellow wall with the name of Casa do Barreiro written in black.

Positioned in the romantic valley of the river Tâmega, Casa da Tojeira is a beautiful 17th Century manor house. This location offers a whole array of leisure activities, including cycling, rambling, swimming, hunting and fishing. Restored in 1979, this house as retained is former glory. Situated in the Basto Sub-Region of the “Vinho Verde” Demarkated Region, Casa da Tojeira enjoys edapho-climatic conditions which make its wine intrinsically typical and, at the same time, give them a personality of their own. An alliance between this natural privilege and a love of the land, together with the extreme care that is taken with the cultivation of the vines and the correct techniques applied in the treatment and elaboration of the grape juices – they all bear witness to the quality of the wine we produce, while preserving its hereditary authenticity.

How to get there:
From Casa do Barreiro: Take the A3 Road for Braga, turning off for the A11 to Guimarães, following the direction to Cabeceiras de Basto. Leave the motorway in Arco de Baulhe, and after pay the toll, follow the direction to Arco de Baulhe and from there follow the direction to Fafe. Around 1 km you will see a sign, saying Casa de Tojeira, on the right where you will see the house. The house is situated about 90km from Porto.

Quinta da Veiga is located on the right bank of Douro .Nearby the Ferrão’s train station, the privileged stretch between Régua and Pinhão, and characterised by schist slopes with excellent sun exposure at an altitude of 170m-220m. This area, known as Veiga do Donelo, was formed by smallholdings in past times (XVI century), which formed in our days one single property, named Quinta da Veiga a producer winery of Port and Douro wines. Situated inside of the classified Douro World Heritage Area, this Estate of 50 ha was reconverted into a country tourism Manor House “Turismo de Habitação”. The Quinta da Veiga surrounding by wine terraces, the gardens and the swimming pool, benefits from a fantastic landscape over the River Douro.

How to get there:
From Casa da Tojeira: Follow the Motorway A11 to Vila Real. When arrive to Vila Real follow the N322 in direction to “Sabrosa”. 12,5 km after, in “São Martinho de Antas” turn right for the N322-2, following the signs “Donelo” and ”Quinta da Veiga”. Continue for 24 km, always on the N322-2, until arrive to the train station of Ferrão. There turn left and you will find the entrance of “Quinta da Veiga” after 1,5 km at you left side.
