The “SOLAR DA BICA” is a country house reconverted in rural tourism. Located in the island of Madeira, in Lameiros – São Vicente, 30km from Funchal. Is situated in the middle of forest known as “Laurissilva”. classified as a World Heritage by UNESCO since 1999. This romantic seat, is an idyllic place to enjoy ” the uniqueness and beauty of the nature ,as well as, to observe the prehistoric plants and protected environment.
A visit around by foot or car, gives you the opportunity to enjoy amazing sceneries in there natural stage or discover the limestone mines and lime kilns only 1 km distance from the “SOLAR DA BICA´. This country House provides you modern comfort and invites to a range of leisure activities as :swimming rambling or simply reading a book.

A spacious Living room is located in an old winery where remain the old press grapes, overlooking the magnificent views of the valley and the tops of the mountains. | How to Get There |
Solar da Bica is located in the North Coast of the Madeira Island, on the “Sitios dos Lameiros”, Municipality of São Vicente.How to arrive:
From Madeira Airport: Follow the “Via Expresso” in direction to “Ribeira Brava”, passing trough the Tunnel in “Funchal”. In Na Ribeira Brava follow the direction of “São Vicente”, trough the tunnel. After the tunnel continue in the same road and on the 1st and 2nd roundabout exit on the 1st exit in direction to “Lameiros”. Follow the indications to “Solar da Bica” and “Rota da Cal”. Continue and when you arrive to the church of Lameiros turn left, following the directions of “Solar da Bica”. You will find the house 150 m after at your leftGPS coordinates:
