Paço de São Cipriano is located in the parish of S. Cipriano de Taboadelo, on the road out to Guimarães, in a landscape marked by a secular heritage and a treasury of experiences devoted to remarkable discoveries.Set amid 120 acres of enchanting gardens, surprising orchards and sun-dappled vineyards, this 15th century house is located on the old pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela and has maintained its age-old custom of welcoming travellers. The spirit of medieval Portugal is evident in the delightful tower room with its splendid four-poster bed.
The owners are excellent hosts and the old stone pool is perfect for summer bathing.
From Porto Airport: Take the motorway, A3 for Braga, turning off at the km25 to the A7 for Guimarães. Leave the motorway on the exit of ‘Guimarães Sul’ upon arriving at the next roundabout turn third left, where is a signal saying ‘Urgeses Polvoreira’. At the end of this street turn left and follow the sign for the Paço S. Cipriano (3 km later you’ll find our house, in Tabuadelo Village).
From the centre of Guimarães: at the entrance of the city follow the directions of ‘Santo Tirso’ for the road EN105, 350 m after turn left on the sign ‘Estação’ and after 300 m, on the roundabout turn right (for the road close the big wall). After 2 km on the roundabout go straight following the sign of ‘Paço de S. Cipriano’. 3 km after you arrive to ‘Taboadelo’ and you will find the entrance of the house at your right, in front of the church.GPS Coordinates:
