Located in Montemor-o-Novo, the Moinho do Alamo is surrounded by a farm of 12 hectares, with orchards and woods where the guests can observe Lusitanian horses, pigs, birds and other wild animals.
Carefully restored for rural tourism, this charming country house is full of charisma and tradition. The decor is personalized and includes paintings antiques, classic furnishings that complement the Portuguese’s traditional style with great atmosphere and refinement. The owners reconverted the place to ensure the comfort and the pleasure of their guests.
Furthermore, Moinho do Alamo, even with 1200m2 of construction, is an example of integration into the landscape, taking advantage of the natural slope of the land in terrace, and from the old water mill, which today is a modern and comfortable sitting room and a dinner room where guests can take the breakfast overlooking the magnificent surroundings. Outside several patios and porches, areas of grass line the banks of the millstream, a private island, whilst a generously sized pool, there are a various secret areas to enjoy and that invite you to a dinner outdoors, or for a gathering with friends and within family.
The Moinho do Alamo offers you a wide range of outdoor activities for you to enjoy the bright flavor of the Alentejo, from boating on the pond, fishing, horseback riding, walking or cycling. There is also a “doll house” and a “tree house”, plus pony rides that will delight the younger’s.
This large country house is ideal to organize thematic events, family reunions, friends or business meetings, providing conditions and services exclusive to each group.

| How to Get There |
From Lisbon: Follow the motorway A2 in direction to “Sul / Évora / Algarve”. Drive for 50 km until you find the A6 to “Évora / Espanha”. Continue in the A6 for 40 km and leave the motorway on the extit N.º 3 in direction to“Montemor-o-Novo”. After the toll turn right to Montemor-o-Novo and continue for 1,5 km until a roundabout, where you follow the directions to “Vendas Novas/Lisboa” trough the road N4. After 3 km you will find at your right side the signs to “Moinho do Álamo” and “Casa de Campo”, turn and follow the signs. After 4,5 km turn right to dirt road. After 450 meters turn left, following the signs. After 600 meters you will find the gates of Moinho do Alamo.GPS Coordinates:
