This is an agro-tourism farm of 184 hectares set within the natural park of the Guadiana Valley in the Alentejo a few kms from Mértola. It is dedicated to organic preproduction of mainly oils from aromatic and medicinal plants.
The farm purpose is the production of quality organic products; balanced with maintenance and improvement of the environment. It is dedicated mainly to essential oil production proceeding from aromatic and medicinal plants. Here, guests are invited to participate In the farming activities, travelling around the essences, the world of rosemary, rockrose and other plants, or just drop by and pay a visit to the surprising distillery.
The house is from the 40’s, and has a long and privileged tradition as a hunting lodge. Recently, the property was restored, combining the respect for traditional architecture with modern comfort standards. The house offers attractive décor with patios adorned with enchanting lemon and orange trees, a traditional garden and a pleasant swimming-pool.
From Lisbon Airport: follow the motorway A2 in direction to Algarve until find the exit to Castro Verde. There follow the indications to Mértola and arriving there, follow the indications to “Minas de São Domingos”/Serpa. 4 km after take the direction “Corte Sines”, on your left. Drive until the village of Corte Sines. Just before the village you will find the indications “Agro-Turismo”.
