The ECOLAND – Casa das Cores is a lovely recuperation of a small rural house. This charming place is located in the centre of the Corte Gafo de Cima village, in the Alentejo region, distance 7 miles from the historical town of Mértola and is situated within the Natural Park of Guadiana Valley. The owner of this rural house, a environmental Engineer, was very careful to maintained the genuinely and the traditional style of the building, preserving the architecture and using the most traditional restoration techniques. Indoor, is well-coming and very colourfully, the decoration combining the traditional and modern. All the rooms are painted in different warm colours: Yellow, Salmon, Blue and Green, Purple and Red … as used in Alentejo region.
With a remarkable Moorish influences and a very personal touch, the furnishings are simple and comfortable … .In the back side of the house the small and private garden invites you to introspection and to take a tea in the pleasant balcony.
The ECOLAND – Casa das Cores classified in Country Tourism (Casa de Campo) have for the guests 4 bedrooms all with private bath, dining and sitting room, but can also can be occupied exclusively by a group friends or relatives. In this case the kitchen of the house is available, with all the necessary utensils to prepare your meals.
The ECOLAND – Casa das Cores is a perfect place to visit the region and exploring the Parque Natural do Vale do Guadiana. Here you will find many suggestions to have a very relaxing holidays .The owner Mrs Claúdia Melo organizes activities, Ecotourism programs and tours, to be in touch with nature and to discover the enchanting surroundings
This seat is peaceful and very romantic. Here you can dinner by candlelight seeing the sky stars and hear the silence of the night. |

| How to Get There |
From Lisbon Airport: Follow the A2 in direction to Sul/Algarve and leave a the km 120 (exit N.º 10) in direction to Beja. Continue trough the IC8, in direction to Beja, for 50km. On the entrance of Beja follow the IP2 in direction to Algarve/Mértola. After 11km, turn left to the N122 in direction to Mértola.Continue for 29 km until you find a cross with the indication of “Corte Gafo de Cima / Pulo do Lobo”. Turn left and continue for 4 km until you arrive to the village of Corte Gafo de Cima. There follow the signs of “ECOLAND” and you will find the house on the small village.GPS Coordinates:
