Situated on the north coast of the island of São Miguel, the oceanside estate known as the “Casa das Calhetas”, dates back to the 18th century (1723). This manor house has always been the residence of “Morgados”.
From the airport (Ponta Delgada): Take the avenue (avenida) Infante D. Henrique, near the sea. When you reach the end of the avenue follow the indications to Ribeira Grande. After 6 Km turn left to the village of Pico de Pedra. Near the church of this village turn right to Calhetas.
