Description: Featuring Pico da Vara, the highest point of the Island and the “Priolo” birth. We will enjoy the area’s dramatic natural scenery that includes waterfalls, water mills, fertile valleys and wooden mountains. Nordeste has been awarded “the most flowery village of Europe”. The area is also the only known “priolo’s” bird ( Azorean Bullfinch) species closed to extinction . The itinerary also includes a good number of well catered for look-outs, built on strategic places that allow breathtaking scenic views of the area.
Description: Featuring “Fire Lake” and splendid scenery. Lagoa do Fogo is situated on Barrosa Mountains, 600 meters above sea level. It is considered by many the most beautiful of all Sao Miguel lakes. On the way will also visit Ribeira Grande’s calderas and the geothermal Plant that provides an important share of the hydro consumed on the island.

We will visit also the beautiful lagoa (lake) of Furnas, bordered by a profusion of green foliage and the charming Furnas Valley.
