Artvilla is a distinctive country house settle in the middle of the village Vila Nova near to Cadaval, walking distance to Serra de Montejunto.
Located in the surrounding of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region Artvilla, results from a family project commitment to rebuilt 4 rural houses, and reconvert them into modern pleasant accommodation to receive guests. The architect Catarina Carvalho, daughter of the owners restored carefully all the houses, the entrance and the central courtyard, combining the traditional materials with modern facilities.
Artvilla is very colourfully and full of character, providing to the guests, 5 rooms in the main house and 3 independent “casas”, with all comfort, quality and privacy. Each House have the name according to the old functions, so the main house is “Casa Forno” where is the living room, dining room, and 5 bedrooms all with bathrooms en suite. The other houses are: “Moinho”(mill); “Padaria“ (Bakery) and “Adega” (Cellar), reconverted into apartments for 2 persons, with one room each ,private bathroom, living room and Kitchenette, decorated with exceptional attention to details.
In the central courtyard the barbecue takes a prominent place very useful for family parties. The small but original pool will be the happiness of the children.
Classified as rural tourism, Artvilla benefits from the quietness of the placement and the cosy decoration, with a tranquil views over the surrounding countryside of Serra do Montejunto.
So serene is Artvilla that even when the 4 houses are all occupied you can still enjoy the sensation that you have the place for you.
For the nature lovers the region inviting to a range of activities and leisure to be discover.
The small village of Vila Nova and its people everyday helps to create the atmosphere of tranquility, and the rural environment.
In addition, the Oeste region has a strategic location for its proximity to Lisbon, as well as other urban centers with cultural importance, justify a visit. Moreover, the town of Cadaval, still maintains the rural character, the rusticity of the customs, practices ancestral culture and local traditions.

| How to Get There |
From Lisbon: Follow the motorway A8 in direction to North and leave the motorway on the exit N.º 10 in direction to “Campelos, Outeiro Cabeça, Cadaval”. After the toll follow the signs to “Vilar/ Cadaval”. Arriving at the village of “Vilar”, on the traffic lights turn left in direction to “Cadaval” trough the road N115 and after 1 km turn right in direction to “Palhais/Ventosa/Vila Nova”. Continue for 2,5 km until you find at your right the sign to “Vila Nova (centro)/ Serra de Montejunto”. Turn and you will find ARTVILLA after 250 meters on your left hand side, on the square in front of the churchGPS coordinates:
